A invitation to the fantastic Musical in Kobe

A free English-language musical “The True Samurai” will be performed at KOBE on Monday, September 23.

Musical Buddies, an amateur male musical theater troupe active in Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture. We volunteer to create original musicals to introduce stories about fascinating figures in Japanese history to people in Japan and abroad, and perform them for free or inexpensive viewing.

We will present an original historical musical "The True Samurai: -Ryuukiden: Kusunoki Masashige and Hisako-" in English and Japanese on September 23, 2024 (Monday, substitute holiday) at Minatogawa Shrine, Chuo-ku, Kobe City.

The musical will be singing and performing in English and Japanese. Masashige Kusunoki is said to be one of the greatest military geniuses in Japanese history, who led a force of about 500 men in a continuous battle against the 200,000-strong Kamakura Shogunate forces and finally defeated the Kamakura Shogunate.
